WHAT ABOUT THE DEVIL, SATAN AND THE ANTICHRIST?

who-is-the-devil

These names all describe the same one; additionally his name in Heaven was Lucifer and still is. Let's look at the beginning of his creation, as the Bible is clear. Lucifer's fall from Heaven is described in the Old Testament in the books Ezekiel and Isaiah, (you may want to read these two books). In Ezekiel 11-19 Lucifer is the main topic. While these verses describe various aspects of him, the bottom line is that as an archangel he became so impressed with himself, his own beauty, intelligence, power and position, he began to desire for himself the honor and glory that belonged to God himself. The sin that corrupted him was pride.

This commenced the actual beginning of sin in the universe. This precedes the fall of the human Adam by an indeterminate time period. So sin originated in the free will of Lucifer and it culminated against the Creator. In Ezekiel 28:18 we see God threw him out and down to the earth. Completely expelled from God's heavenly government and his place of authority. Also one third of heavenly Angels were cast out with him.

In Isaiah there is further mention of him being cast out and his name is changed from Lucifer to Satan (adversary). His destiny following the second coming of CHRIST, is to be bound in a pit during the 1,000 year millennial kingdom over which CHRIST will rule (Revelation 20:3) and eventually thrown into the lake of fire (Matthew 25:41).
